History

Our store has been in continuous operation since 1833. Over the past 175 years the store has seen five different owners, with the most recent owners purchasing the business in October of 2008.  After being in the same location for over 170 years, the tough decision to break tradition was made and Esersky’s was moved from its Union Street location to Pleasant Street in Claremont in the Spring of 2010.   We strive to keep the old-fashion, home-town friendly feel to each and every customer visit.  In addition to our hardware store, we have a hearth showroom with over 60 stoves.  We have technicians certified in wood, gas and pellet stove installation and repair by the National Fireplace Institute, and licensed by the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal.   We also sell and service Monitor Heaters.

During 2011, Esersky’s will be undergoing additional changes.  Beginning in March, Esersky’s began liquidating its selection of hardware and household goods.  This is being done as part of a major shift in focus for the long-time store.  In the near future, Esersky’s will transition to mainly a hearth shop and no longer stock everyday hardware and household goods.
